I dont know is this something to be concerned about yet?? Well we were shopping Springs even before the draft, and Taylor's new SS will be making more than him. As far as ST goes we need to go ahead and lock him up right now to a long term extension.

Springs-- doesn't care, will be a starter (if healthy) or traded/released. I wish he was already gone, even if it weakened our team.

Taylor-- two words -- new contract. Sean probably won't be a holdout or anything but this is the first signal that he will be looking for something new.

LaCanfora mentions Taylor and a new deal in his blog entry,

Well my friend I hope you are right. Besides not getting DL help, its been a pretty good offseason for us, so we dont need any problems now, especially with 2 starters. Maybe im just jumping the gun and being overly concerned.

He has had a quiet offseason, so lets hope he stays that way. I think he does deserves an extension. Eventhough, he was the one that signed that rookie contract.

Not worried about ST. He played better two years ago after missing OTAs than last year when he had perfect attendence.

As for his contract, we got a deal when he signed it. Cant argue with him wanting a new one.

gibbs made this whole thing about letting guys do what they want this offseason so how can we complain when they do just that.

The FO had to know that the signing of landry would be an issue for taylor with his existing contract and they should be trying to work a deal with him now.

I mentioned this weeks and weeks ago even before we drafted Landry...and everyone here said he signed a contract and he's locked up until 09 with an option in 2010....this maybe the first of the moves made my ST.....but I hope we aren't concerned now.....cause I did my best to for warn everyone here this may be an issue coming into the season.......

I also mentioned before, as soon as he gets to a pro bowl he's gonna want a new deal. Now with Landry getting way more money and being one pick less....I knew something would possibly stirr up...hopefully sean would get it together and make the smart move....

I hope it's a non-issue. I just don't see how these guys make that type of money, know well in advance when all the workouts are and they still find ways to cause problems.
